My mom has a 10 year multiple entry visitor visa. She came to the US in mid september to help with my childbirth and take care of my baby. She was granted 6 months visit. However, she had to leave for England in early december because my sister who lives in england was seriously ill and had emergency surgery. I want to bring my mom back in february because i need to return to work and she has to take care of the baby. There will then be a gap of only 2 months between her visits. However, in entire 2009, she has been in the US for only 2.5 months. She has stayed in the US for 6 weeks each in 2005 and 2006. So her record is perfectly clean. Could you please give me your opinion - will she be granted re-entry?

Re entering in less than 2 months time without returning to home country (India) will surely raise eyebrows. She could be given a short stay if she can provide a good explanation but there is always some chance that she could be denied entry.
The best strategy is to spend a few months in India and then return to US, say in May.

Entry Back to USA
Thanks for posting this case....
I got partly answer what I about to ask in this thread.
My Mom has 10 yrs Multiple entry USA Visa which is stamped this year only. She came in USA on Oct-2009 and left for India on 7 th of Dec 2009 due to some family urgency.
Now on next year I want to call her again in USA. I am planning to Visit India on March-2010 and while coming back to USA I will bring my Mom here again.
She is in India and will be there till she come in USA Again.
Can she come back in USA again? Will she allowed to enter again in USA within 4 months. Or there are some period of gap required between next entry.
Thanks for reply.
I appreciate your quick response.
Thanks,
Soumya.
