Spuse name in DS-0156

Hi,

My mom is going for visitor visa appointment. My dad passed way. So, should I fill the spouses name and spouses DOB column in the DS-0156 form.
Please let me know.

I suggest you to put because

If you put and when they think she is going alone to US (despite having a spouse and didn't apply for visa), they will think she is not a potential immigrant and hence high chances of getting Visa.

The fields in the form just ask for name and DOB not whether alive.
so take advantage of it (honest mistake).

IF THEY EXPLICITELY ASK WHY THE SPOUSE IS NOT ACCOMPYING THEN ANYWAY YOU GOT TO TELL THE REASON.
