  • Stamp without rejection reference number

I would like to ask that i have applied for USA visit visa in jun 2005.

USA embassy return me passport back during interview with the stamp on back side of my passport page ,"received " was written on that stamp but no refusal number or refusal reference was written on it .

At the time of returning my passport the consular just told me that you reapply.

I am confused that if i refused by USA then why they do not write any refusal reference code on stamp in my passport .

I am sending you image of my passport stamping ,kindly tell me,is it mean that i refused by USA visa officer ?????,if yes then what is the reason, because no reason reference number is given then how should i know .
what does mean of this kind of stamp.
actually i have to fill my DS-
156 form column in which information is need for any previous refusal.

They don't write any rejection number or reference number. They just write that the application was received. That means the visa was rejected.
