Hi all
My parents' visitor visa has been rejected 3 times so far with 214 b as the reason. They are 52 and 46 yrs old. The first time they applied with my brother who was 23 yrs old. First time, the consular officer asked why do you have to go when your daughter can visit you. My father told she is busy with her work. Second time, he looked at my husband's passport(on H1) and said that he has gone on a visitor visa and laughed and then rejected the visa even though my husband converted to J1 and then to H1 and only then started working. Third time they saw that we had provided a marriage certificate from U.S and also provided marriage photos from India and started asking questions about it.
This time I have got a letter from a Congressman and when the congressman asked the reason why they have to give the letter for my parents, I cited pregnancy as the reason. I am due in January. In the congressman's letter which they have already emailed to the U.S consulate they have recommended to give visa to my mother( she is going alone this time) so that she can visit to help me. This is my question. In the interview, if they ask the REASON for the visit, is it better to tell
A)tourism and visit my daughter and then if they ask about my pregnancy, my mom can tell that I am pregnant or
B) to visit my pregnant daughter. For proof, I can get a letter from my doctor stating that I need help.
I have read that you should not mention pregnancy when going for the interview. But this letter has been emailed already and I don't know if it will look like lying to the officer if my mom doesn't mention the pregnancy. Also, a senator will either be calling/emailing the consulate regarding the same.
Please help me
Thanks
