I have a question. I am a USA citizen and have lived in USA since January 1969. Twice, in 2004 and 2007, I sponsored my elder brother and his wife for a visitor visa. Both times, the visas wer rejected.
Now, my oldest daughter is getting married. Marriage is planned for October 2010 in USA. My elder brother is the senior most member of our family and his presence is vital for Kanya-dan ceremony. I am worried of his application getting rejected again......
Please advice and clarify:
1) Should I again apply for their visitor visa to attend this marriage or should I have my daughter apply for them?
2) Is there an ideal time to apply? Should we apply now or in June, July, august or September?
3) We want to invite total 8 family members from my side and my wife's side. How many people can one person apply for or sponsor for a marriage function? If there is a limit on number or people one individual can apply for? Should we divide the names between me, my wife and children as sponsors?
4) We are all USA citizens. (myself, wife, 2 daughters and a son) and live here since many years.
I am a senior citizen and seek your guidance at earliest.
