Should my wife sponsor Visitor Visa for my parents?

My wife has been a naturalized US citizen for about 12 yrs. I've been in the US 10 yrs and I'm a greencard holder. We wish to have MY parents visit us here. The question I have is:

1. Would it improve the chances if my wife sponsors them instead of me doing so, since she's a citizen?
2. Is there a way to apply as joint sponsors? I-134 does not provide for that.

The interview is scheduled in Chennai.

2. You can both of your income and assets together in I-134.

It is better that you sponsor if you make good enough money yourself.
