Visitors visa expiration before travel

Please help me with a situation she has a visitors visa to US that
she has not traveled on from Russia. She now says the visa will expire
next unless we extend the expiration date before she travels. Please
tell me if there is an expiration date on an unused visa and how long
is this time. Also please tell me what the cost to extend this
expiration date.

The person can visit USA at any time before it expires. After that, new
visa is required.
