Parents got visa in second attempt

Hello,
I am happy to share the news that my parents visa was approved yesterday in their second attempt at Mumbai consulate! The visa was rejected earlier (in october)under the section 214(b).They reapplied within 3 days.The difference this time was that they opted for a Marathi interpretor.And this time they also took help from an agent.I would like to stress here an imp point that .....an agent might make some mistakes while filling the forms for our parents....so just be careful abt that,but the good thing abt going thr an agent is....he did an an excellent job of counselling my parents regarding how to go abt answering various questions asked during the interview and this gave my parents TREMENDOUS confidence.....something that they were lacking as their visa was rejected earlier.And ofcourse its God's Grace and Luck that helped them get the visa too.I will post the actual questions asked, in the experience section soon.Thanks immihelp for helping me out.

any spl preparations ur parents made for their second appearance?
My mom's visa was also rejected 1st time. She is again appearing for interview on 22nd. Crossing fingers! any help?

second attempt

Hello mjaishankar,
Since my parents visa was rejected on the basis of 214(b) in the first attempt,for the second attempt ,me and my husband drafted a letter highlighting the points bcoz of which my parents were bound to return back to India such as property,relatives,an unmarried son etc;.We had instructed our parents to show the letter to the counseler when he puts forth the likely question:-what is different this time?.....as well as to verbally communicate to the counseler and convince him/her that my parents were not at all candidates for possible immigrants.
My parents opted for a marathi translator this time and also took help from an agent who provided a good counselling.
But the counseler was not interested in looking at any of the docs this time .
So I guess the confidence of my parents and Luck were major factors that got them the visa in the second attempt.I have posted the actual questions that were asked to my parents in the experience section of this website....u can go thr' that.
