require documents for applying the b2 visitor visas

what are the documents required for filing a b2 visitors visa and what are the documents needed from the sponsor's side .I am not working but since i want to get my mother for visiting should i provide her with a affadavit support or should me and my husband both provide affadavit support for her and this is the third time she's applying so i want her to be fully prepared your advices and suggestions would be really helpful .Also should we contact a lawyer to be on a safer side will it be of any help .pls reply
