Urgent!!! error in DS160

I was filling out DS 160 for my grand father I have entered in all details correctly i didnt even click on submit yet i got the confirmation number.... (bar code)

I am worried ... what can i do now??? i again did review made few corrections and clicked on the submit by signing it ( which I didnt do earlier) ... i got the same confirmation again( bar code) .. which information will go into their database? please help me .... i am worried

If you have not taken an appointment, it is very easy.

Upload the saved file, make corrections and submit again and take a print out. If you have not save the file, enter everything again.

i have got the conformation page but could not have the DS160 forms print out and nor could save it can i use conformation number to retrieve my DS160 form if yes whats the process

If you have taken the appointment, you can't change the form.

You cancel the appointment, change the form and take new appointment.

DS-160 form - pls help!

I have made a mistake in filling out the visa type in my DS 160 form. Instead iof B1 visa for Business, I erroneously clicked the B1/B2 Business/Personal type of visa. I have already submitted the form and have scheduled an apppointment. I was waiting for our Attorney's advise if I can create a new form. My schedule for interview is April 23 and travel date is May 15. It is hard to get a schedule online ang I am afraid that If I cancel my appointment, I won't be able to get a schedule this April.

Please help/advise me if this kind of error is major and may result to rejection. I have emailed the US consulate in Dubai informing them about about the error and have received to response yet.

Can I just create a new form and schedule an appointment then cancel the previous one after I get a new schedule?

Cannot retrieve ds160 form

I completed my ds160 form and was at the last review page. All of sudden I could not retrieve my form. Meanwhile i started a visa application form. Now it's been 5 days I still can't retrieve my ds160 form to submit my form. If I have to delete my existing visa application how do I do that? Is the only option to start a new ds160?

After filling the form until "Present" /Previous it is fine and once I am there and click on next to go to 'Additional " it is throwing error "
Application error ... a message has been sent to Site administrator ....

"An unexpected error has occurred while processing your previous request. The error has been reported to the site administrator; no further action is required. To retrieve your DS-160 application, please enter your Application ID."

Hello All

Since immihelp is one of the websites I often look at for information, I thought I should pen down my experience with H1B visa stamping recently

Biometrics date: 8 Aug 2016, Visa Interview - 9 Aug 2016 (already scheduled) - Chennai Consulate (10 am both days)

DS-160 - I filled out my DS-160 form and a week before I flew to India, realized I made an error in the form (Have you ever visited any other country within last five years?). I kind of panicked and started researching on google for any resolution without me have to reschedule the appointment. In one of the forums, one person got his profile updated with a new DS-160 page he had filled out through travel docs support resources. I tried the same but since I had already scheduled my appointment, they could not update my profile and their suggestion was to fill a new DS 160 form with all corrections made and take the new one and the old one for Biometrics and they should honor the new one.

Day of Biometrics: Kodambakkam location -

I reached at around 9:50 am and was immediately let in to the building. The lower level of the building has a small corner office where you can get DS-160 corrections made (in case you have not filled a new one by yourself). I took both the old and new DS-160 confirmation page and stood in the first queue. They verified the information in my passport and DS-160 and told me to go to the next queue (upstairs). The lady at the table told me to take the new DS-160 form and not worry about the old one . Next queue, this guy was again verifying my new DS 160 and passport with what was in the system and pasted a sticker on my passport with old DS-160 info and wrote "Edit-ZZZ" on the new DS 160 confirmation page to indicate I have a new DS-160 instead of what is in the system. Then I go to the next line, where this lady looked at my passport, verified that I have a new DS-160 and took a new sticker and pasted it on top of the old one. This sticker had my new DS 160 confirmation no on it and she gave me a token number. I went to the window when my token number was called and the guy behind the window took my fingerprints, picture and verified my name, date of birth and language preference. That's all. Biometrics was over.

Day of Interview - Anna Salai

I am not sure things have changed or was it that day, but irrespective of your time slots, they asked everybody to stand in the initial queue outside the consulate building. They gave preference to elderly ones and couples with kids. So there are chances if you go early you can get in too. I stood in the same line and passed through security and rest of the as usual queues and stood in front of the officer for interview. Below are the questions the officer asked before approving my Visa

1. Who is your petitioner? YYYY
2. How long have you been with the company? X year X months
3. What is your salary?$ YYYY XX
4. Who is your client? I did not give out the name of the client but informed it is one of the largest xxxx in the US.
5. Will you be working at client location? I said I have a base location but will travel to client location

That’s all.
