B2 visa for spouse of us citizen

Hi everyone, my immigration visa application is in process but I want to visit US to take my USMLE step 2 CS exam. I have no intentions of staying in US before my green card arrives as I am working in my home country and need this experience for my residency application. Just wanted to ask how should I proceed. Would love to hear from people who have gotten visitor visa while their I-130 application was under process. Thank you

The first & basic requirement for B2 visa is to prove strong ties to your home country. Having a USC spouse & 130 pending, is exactly opposite to it. I would suggest not to waste time for B2.
