Sponsoring a friend on visitor visa

I am currently working in USA and I want sponsor my friend from India on tourist visa .Please let me know what documents do I need to show to prove that he is my friend.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Only you and he know how you can prove that both of you are friends.

There is no specific list for that.
