Vistors Visa Clarification

Hi,

My Father's name is spelled different on my passport ( SUBBAIYAN) and different on his and mother passport ( SUBBAIAN). just a letter missed out

I am planning to apply for Visitors visa for them.

1. will there be any problem as names are different in my passport n his.
2. In the docs for Visa should i follow the name as in my dad's passport or the correct spelling.
3. or should i ask him to apply for new passport or just an affidavit will do.

Please help this is urgent.

He should go by his name in his passport.

He should prepare an affidavit indicating that both the names are of the same person.
