  • Visa waiver program and return ticket

    Hi guys,
i am italian and I will go to USA using the visa waiver program that give me up to 90 days without needing to apply a visa..
i'll go out at the 89th day, I want to use the entire period that they allow me..
I actually am going to stay in USA more than 90 days because of improving my English. My purpose is practicing English and not working or to stay there.. I wonder what it will be happen if I enter again in USA after a week using the same visa waiver program? The CBP officer will renovate my visa for more 90 days?
About the return ticket, the CBP officer will accept a simple email booking?

yes because in reality this reservation would not be a true ticket issued because I would like to make the exit ticket a few days before leaving the USA, also to take advantage of the offers of the moment.

As long as you leave the US before the 90 days of your ESTA, you won't have violated any laws. But if you re-enter within a few days, there may be question from the CBP. We can't predict right now if they'll find it okay to allow you to enter or whether they'll turn you back and ask you to wait longer. It'll be good to have return tickets as proof of you returning home but it won't guarantee that it will make a difference.
    --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.

In my First visit to usa, do you think they won't accept a email reservation of return ? They usually check if the booking Is a valid ticket or they make a superficial control ? I tell you this because till now i travelled 15 country and i never did a real issue of a return ticket.. this information Is very important for me why i don't know now where i'll go when my stay in usa ends. May be Canada, maybe London, i have 3 months, a really long time to decide it

Yes, they can check the validity of the ticket online. But will they check? it depends on the discretion of the CBP officer. Email reservations are fine.

USA is pretty strict in these things, as compare to other countries of world.
