Question on administrative processing time

My in laws had their visa interview couple of weeks back at Hyderabad consulate and they were granted visa. They mentioned that my mother in law would receive her passport within a week and father in law in two weeks.
My mother in law's passport came in 3 -4 days but am still waiting for my father in law's passport. When we check VFS site it says they have not been handed over the passport from consulate yet. Is there any number or mail id we could contact to check the status of the passport with consulate? We have already blocked the ticket and would like to make changes in case it delays further.

Is there delay in passport delivery?

I am in the same situation. My mother-in-law attended her interview on 24th may in Chennai. It's almost 5th day and still the consulate has not sent the passport to VFS. Is there any general delay in processing due to high traffic?
