DS-160 application - family or individual?

Hello,

I am filling application for my parents to visit me in US. I guidedover the phone to fill the application as primary applicant and he printed the confirmation page and after that i asked him to click on the "create family application" for my mom. As he was entering the information the session timed out.

How will he create a family application now since he did not save any information?

OR

Since he already has the confirmation page for himself, can he now start an individual application for my mom?

If the two separate application are there, can they still go for interview together?

Start new application for mother. (When you apply as a family, all it does it copies some of the information for the next person, but it is still individual application per person.)

They can still go for an interview together.
