Visa fee refund

I have paid visa fees and had scheduled an appointment for my father-in-law. His appointment got canceled due to COVID. Sadly, he passed away recently. Is there a way I can get refund of the visa fees? I sent couple of emails to ustraveldocs but I am getting standard response of fees not refundable.

Yup the visa fees are non disney hub refundable at any cases. So, no matter waht happens, you're not getting it back
