Hi, I'm planning to apply for tourist visa for my parents, they're in India. My case is diff than others, please let me tell you(sorry for taking time), my mom is Indian, she married my dad who is a Bangladeshi citizen, later they moved in India during lebaration war with Pakistan as they lived in border area. I was raised by my grand parents9 as my parents economical cond was poor) and stay with them till marraige, time to time I visited my parents. I came from Bangladesh with my husband, who is now on H-1(he got his J-1 waiver last yr). My husband actually got a short course here and later he joined in residency in medical field. But the visa offcier was new one and she gave B1 visa instead of F1(though my husband had I-20 for student visa), the reason she told that my husband granted for a 3 moonths course, so she gave her that. My husband worked in a colleboration study with US where he got chance.
My parents has property there for last 40 yrs., has bank a/c and other relatives.
My mom never saw her grandparents, neither me. I don't want the same repetetion for my sons, you know how loving the grandchildren to grandparents!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't visit my parents since I came here last 5 yrs, we applied for greencard recently.
My qs is is there will be any problem if I sponsor for them on my sons b'day(both are is same month).
Those who have relatives in diff coutries for war, they can realaize how painfull it may be to seperate from immediate family member. The problem is people who donot face this they never realize specially people here, they allways ask me why they never visited, whats the problem? I wish to see them, I cry everday, I'm the only daughter. They've other sons stay with them. Pl help me.
