any one anyone who take help from senator or congressman

Hi,
My husband is going to sponsor for my parents. I heard from a friend who took help from local congressman after rejecting visa 1st time for parents, she is green card holder and got the visa in 2nd time. Is there anyone who took help for first time(I'm in H-4 status).
Please share your experience.thanks

Don't worry about senator/congressman for first time application.

My fiance and I were encouraged by our lawyer to go through local congressman as well. This is also our first try. So I should not proceed with the local congressman? May I ask why? Our fiance visa app was received Jan 18, 2006. we've been waiting for it to be approved still to this date. We were sure that he was going to be here by now. How much longer do you think we have to wait? He's in South Africa, I'm here in Los angeles. Please help us understand?!

Congressmen letter is not the factor in deciding anyone's visa. Consular Officers got full power to issue or not.

My parents visa rejected in January , they will be going again in June end.
I would like to know the procedure to get senator letter.
Please help.
