How long is a US tourist visa valid for?

Depending on the Consular officer & your personal situation, a tourist visa sticker may be issued for upto 10 yrs.
CBP (at the border) determines how long you can stay for each visit but it may not exceed 6 months / 180 days.Opinion only. Cannot be construed as legal advice. -
