B2 Visa dates

Hello All,
I am planning to book a visa date for my in-laws who are based out of Hyderabad, unfortunately when I check the cgifederal site - the Visa slots are not available untill Feb 2021 in Hyderabad and Chennai Consulates.
However few dates are available in New Delhi Or Bombay in October.

I understand the COVID19 situation and be vigilant about it, but also we are planning to have our in-laws here by December 2020 due to family needs.

I was wondering Can I make appointments in New Delhi ? any downsides you see ?
any other recommendations or any way we can apply at HYD consulate ?

Update - I just tried to book the date in New Delhi Consulate, but CGI site doesn;t let me book it at all. So wondering what are my options ?
