B1/B2 visa travel while F-2 DS-160 submitted

Hello

I am currently on F-1 STEM OPT and I have more than a year left on that. I am currently trying F-2 visa for my spouse but, we are unable to get appointments in any of the US embassies in India. My spouse however also holds a valid B1/B2 visa. I was wondering, can my spouse travel on B1/B2 to US in the current situation? while her F-2 DS-160 application submitted to the embassy. Any help will be appreciated.

Yes, your spouse can certainly use B2 to visit in USA. However he/she "might" be questioned for the purpose of visit & need to prove that the visit is for a specific time period only & doesn't mean to convert to F2 while in USA.
