I am 26 and single. My Visitor Visa (B2) Interview is scheduled for 20th jan, 2005. The first issue with me is i borke my ankle a week ago and right now using a crutch to walk. Would the interviewer reject my visa outright seeing my broken leg (thinking that how can he go as a tourist with a broken leg). The second issue is that the signature on the form DS-156 i submitted is different from that on my passport, would this reject my form. PLEASE ADVICE.
    Abhishek.

Man, I'd hate to be in your shoes! Sorry for the jokey

comment but you could explain away your broken ankle by stating that it would heal shortly. Carry a doctor's note to that effect, if possible.

The signature issue, well, that seems more like a common sense issue than a specific visa-related issue. For instance, how would you explain that to your bank officer? Try the same tactic. You could carry proof of both your signatures. I'm sure they have some mechanism in place to account for such eventualities, especially since most women change their signatures once they get married.

Young, single, broken ankle, conflicting signatures. Wow!

    Good Luck!!
