Space in the passport name

Hi Friends,

Please advice me on this issue.

My father name got printed as "VENKIDU SUBRAMANIAN" in his passport but his official name is "VENKIDUSUBRAMANIAN" (i.e without the space between).

Do we have to apply for name change? Since all his other IDs and documents have name ("VENKIDUSUBRAMANIAN") with out space. OR can we go head and apply for US Visitor Visa with that itself? Is that a right way.

Please let me know soon. I wan to bring them here before my pregnancy which is due on Nov 2010.
