Visitor Visa validity

Hi,
My sis in law got her Visitor visa from India for 1 year(since she has done Phd)
Its going to be expired on Dec 2010
Can she travel anytime before Dec or is there any time span like you have to travel within 6 months after visa is issued?

She can visit USA any day before the expiry of her visitor visa. Her stay in USA is determined by the I 94 date given at POE.
