  • Father's travel to US from India : Questions

    Hello,

Father, 84 will be travelling to US in a month from India. He has received both doses of the covidshield vaccine. Has anyone's parent recently travelled to US? If so, I have a few questions:

    1) is the travel ban still active for a parent to visit his sons in US on B2 visa from India? Brother is a US Citizen and I have green card.
    2) A negative covid test is required 72 hours prior to entry to US. Correct?
    3) Is quarantine needed upon arrival? If so, can this be done at home? If no, are there specific places the quarantine is done?
    4) Any other requirements?

    Thank you

    1. Yes, unless either you or your brother is unmarried and under 21, or he meets any of the other exceptions.
    2. 72 hours before the flight's departure
    3. This depends on state and city. But generally no

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
