  • Visiting the U.S. from Mexico

Hello. My father in law has a Mexican passport and a visitor Visa. Can he travel to visit his children who are residents in California? He will be traveling directly from Mazatlan to Los Angeles by international airplane. Afterward, he plans to re-enter Mexico in a land border crossing to visit other family at the border. I think he will need a negative covid test to travel by airplane to the U.S. but just making sure there aren't any other restrictions. Thanks.

    Hi,
Per my knowledge, this purpose will not come under essential purpose. But, I see Air travel between the United States and Mexico remains unrestricted. I suggest you to first check airline you intend to travel then plan accordingly.
    Thanks
