Hi,
I had applied for a visitor visa on account of my National Board Dental Exam conducted by American Dental Association this year. I has paid the exam fee and also got a test centre from them where i had to give my exam in New York. I work in 2 hospitals as a Consultant endodontist(dentist)
I was refused under section 214b once. i had the official documents sent by the American dental association regarding my exam but the visa officer didnt even had a look at those.i was asked-
1. Why do u want to go- For National board dental exam
2. Where it is-In New York
3. What does your parents do- Dad is an eye surgeon and Mother runs an insurance firm
4. Have you visited any other country- No
5. Why?- I was studying
These were asked 1st time and im still trying to figure out the reason for my refusal.
I called up American Dental association and told them about this, even they cooperated with me they sent me a letter to the US embassy regarding my enrollment with them as a candidate for the exam and they even forwarded a copy of that to US embassy delhi via post fax and email.
2nd time i applied after 2 months cos i had to give the exam as the exam date would not get available for atleast a year. next time i was asked-
1.Why do u want to go- For National board dental exam
2.What does your parents do- Dad is an eye surgeon and Mother runs an insurance firm
3. When did you finished your dental degree- april 2010
these were the questions asked second time and i was refused under the same rule 214b and this time too even on repeated requests to see the documents and the letter sent By ADA was turned down.
I had studying for this exam for more than a year and was prepared to give it but after this i am not able to see the books as i feel like crying in front of them.
I really want to give the exam and score well with flying colours but i still have the fear of getting a rejection once again. Please help me out what should i do.
