intended lengh of stay mistake

on form DS-160 instead of filling 3 months by mistake i filled 3 years for intended length of stay.Is there a way i could correct this? and will this mistake effect the person attending the interview for a visitors visa?need to know please help.Thankyou so much.

If you have not taken the appointment, it is very easy.

Just fill new DS-160 with correct information (or if you have saved earlier one, upload it and make the change).
