should sponsor maintain average balance on bank document?

Hi
I am planning to sponsor my mother on B2 visa.
How much is the minimum balance i should show in the bank document?
Should I maintain average for three months to be around $4000? Or is it enough if i show outstanding balance to be around $4000 at the time of taking document from the bank?

You should be able to prove that you really have money to take care of the persons you are spnosoring.

Therefore, it is better to show that you consistently should have some amount in your bank account for some time.

if u have bank of america they will give you a letter stating when u opened the account and u r average deposit for last 1 year , i think which is more reliable document than 6 months statements for vo
