I am trying to book an appointment for visitor visa interview for my mother. Interview location would be Delhi consulate. I have filled up DS160 but haven't paid the fees yet. Before I make the payment, I wanted to check if visa interview can be scheduled only for emergency cases or it can be done for non emergency cases also. thanks for reply.

Answer: Right now, they are accepting most of non-immigrant visa applications. But, booking slots in US consulate/ embassy in India is very tough these days. You will need to keep monitoring the visa appointment calendar and book the slot.
