  • I-134 Life Insurance

    Hi,
I need to know what I should put in the Life Insurance column of I-134 Affidavit Of Support Form.

I do not have a life insurance. Would that hurt if I put any amount in that column. Will they ask for any documentation?

    Please help,

    Thanks,
    Pavan

If you don't have any life insurance, don't put anything in there.

Even if you have term life insurance, cash value is $0 and therefore you should put $0.

Only if you have cash accumulating life insurance such as whole life insurance, you should put current cash value of that insurance.

Don't put some random amounts if you don't have any insurance. That will only hurt you and your relatives if they happen to find out some how by asking relevant documents or any other way.

Check to see if you are covered by your employer. Such as

group insurance and the like. Just a suggestion. We often tend to ignore those.

          Good Luck.
