Visitor Visa Extension - Biometrics Did Not Match

We had applied for extension of B2 Visitor Visa for my parents during Covid last year due to flight cancellations. They received their Bio-metrics appointment and had provided Bio-metrics on time. Their petition was still under processing when the left the country after 4 months from biometrics appointment. 6 weeks after the left, we received a notification that my mother's fingerprints didn't match the records and to come back for another Bio-metrics appointment or else she will not be able to enter the country for 3 years.

Now, this was due to no mistake of ours. We had applied for extension, attended the Bio-metrics appointment and left the country well before end of second 6 months.

It's been an year since they left US. Will this cause any trouble for my mother to get back into the country?
