  • Finger printing and Visa interview

    I have 2 questions-
    1. Can we do finger printing in one city and interview in another?
    2. How much maximum gap can be between finger print appointment and interview? I am seeing availability for OFAC in city one in July 2023 and interview in city 2 for 2025.
    can we do that?
    Thank you

Yes, that's fine. All biometrics information goes to their central system & can be accessed from anywhere by them.

Max gap recommended is 6 months - no documentary proof/link available though. Reason they will ask to take photo again.

If you wish to change your interview location, a new form DS-160 is not required. The Embassy or Consulate at which you actually apply can access your form using the barcode on your DS-160 confirmation page, which you must bring to the visa interview. Yes you can. There is no compulsion to select a particular interview location. The guidance just recommends you to to a location nearest to you. You can not only choose any of the locations but later if you change your mind you can even reschedule your appointment. My CC Pay

Thank you for responding. But I am seeing there are many OFAC appointments available. But there is none for interview. Do we have to book them together?
I mean get your OFAC done and then book interview whenever its available?
