  • Visitor visa for my minor nephews - Parents have 10 yr US visa.

    Hi,

I live in the US. My sister and her family, living in India, had visited us back in 2005. Both my sister and her husband have a 10 year US visa valid until 2015. Their son, who was 3 years old at the time of their visit to the US was given a 5 year visa which expired in April, 2010. They now have another child who is 2 1/2 yrs old. They are planning to visit us again next summer and would like to apply for visas for both their sons (8yr and 2 1/2 yrs). I would like to know the procedure to apply for a visa for the boys.

1.Since the parents already have a valid visa, and considering the boys are minors, is it necessary to go through the same procedure that a fresh applicant would have to?

    2. What are the required documents ?

    Thanks.

    1.Yes
    2. Parents accompany them and produce the same stuff like visit invite, where they will stay etc. Details as on immihelp for any visitor visa.

      Thanks for your reply.

As mentioned in my message, one of my nephews had a valid US visa until April of 2010. It has now expired. Will he be eligible for Visa renewal ? If so, what is the procedure and what are the required documents.

      Thanks.
