Start Date on Occupation in DS 160

Hi,

I am applying for a B2 Visa for my parents.

Both of them have agricultural income and I would like to state the same.

When I select "Agriculture" as occupation, it is asking for company name, start date, duties salary.

I have given my fathers name for the company and house address for address.

I have just done annual salay/12 for salary

What would the start date be? I believe it was years ago and cannot specify the date.

Please advise on the start date as well as any correction above.

Here's my thought,

You can mention Employer name/company name as Self-employed.

The start date can be approximate, like if your father was born in 1980 and started farming at the age of 20. You could say the start date was 2000 (e.g., January 1, 2000).

Duties, Write down general faming activities your father performs ( Simple and short sentences)
