I’m applying for a J1 exchange visitor visa to study in the US. A year ago I was charged with a DUI in my home country. I was honest about in my application and during the visa interview they asked if I brought a record of this with me, which I didn’t because nobody told me to. He then refused my visa, because they needed the record of this and also I needed to get a medical health check to see if I have an alcohol dependency (which I don’t). I’ve done the health check now and I’m waiting until the hospital sends the results to the consulate. They took my blood to test me on alcohol and I’m a young student who drinks during weekends so I suppose they router login would find a percentage of alcohol in my blood. Kind of stressing out on what is TOO much alcohol and if they would now approve my visa. I haven’t had a drink in the last two weeks and my normal drinking habits are in my opinion normal for every other person. Any other people here have experience with this and got there visa approved after a health check?
