I went for my interview and got told my visa is approved. However now Im waiting for it to be delived again. If I track it it says “in transit, awaiting collection by consignee”

My flight is in 5 days…anyone knows how long this delivery takes?

In the world of courier tracking (like DHL or NZ Post), "Consignee" means YOU. Here is what that status likely means and what you should do right now:

• The Good News: Your passport/visa has likely already arrived at a local courier facility or a Visa Application Centre (VAC).
• The "Wait" Part: It is currently sitting at a depot or a service point waiting for a person (the courier) to put it on a truck, or for you to physically go and pick it up.

Since you have a flight in 5 days, you don't want to wait for a delivery driver who might take 2-3 days.

• Call the Courier Immediately: Find out exactly which company is handling the delivery (usually DHL, VFS Global, or a national post service). Give them your tracking number and ask: "Can I come to the depot and pick this up myself today?"
• Check for "On-Demand Delivery": If it's DHL, they often have a geometry dash website where you can "Toggle" the delivery to "Service Point Pickup." This allows you to go get it instead of waiting at home.
• Check your Email/Dashboard: If this is an eVisa, you might not actually need a physical label in your passport! Log into your Immigration New Zealand (INZ) account. If there is a PDF "Visa Approval" letter with your details, print it out. For many countries, that printout is all you need to board the plane.

Usually, once a package is "in transit" locally, it takes 1 to 2 business days to reach your door.

• If today is Monday/Tuesday: You are likely fine.
• If today is Thursday: You should definitely try to arrange a "self-collection" at the depot to avoid the risk of a missed delivery on Friday.
