I want to leave my country with my family and start a new life at New Zealand but the problem is we can't stay there for a year. I don't really get everything yet cause I am a teen but can anyone explain to me why I can't stay for a year at new Zealand? I also want to study there. I can become a student there and I also want my family to stay there. Can anyone please explain to me how and what things I need to consider to go stay there the rest of my life

In New Zealand, a standard Visitor Visa generally only lets you stay for up to 9 months in an 18-month period. To stay longer, you need a different "category" of visa.
If you enter as a tourist, the government assumes you are just visiting. They have a "9-month rule" to make sure people don't live there permanently on a visitor's budget. To stay for a year or more, you must prove you have a specific reason to be there, like studying or working. Since you want to study, this is your best "key" to the country. If you are accepted into a school or university:- The Visa: You apply for a Student Visa. It usually lasts as long as your course (e.g., 3 or 4 years for a degree).
- The "Family" Part: This is where it gets tricky. In New Zealand, a student can't always "bring" their whole family (parents/siblings) on their visa.
- If you are a minor: One parent can sometimes come as your Guardian to look after you.
- If you are older (University): Usually, only partners or children can join a space waves 2 student. For your entire family to move, your parents would likely need their own Work Visas.
- The "Green List": New Zealand has a list of jobs they desperately need (doctors, teachers, plumbers, etc.). If you or your parents have skills on this list, getting a visa is much easier.
- Money: New Zealand requires proof that you have enough money to support yourself (around NZ$20,000 per year just for living costs, plus school fees).
- Health & Character: Everyone in the family will need a clean criminal record and a medical check-up to show you are healthy.
