Japan Multiple Entry Visa Saving Requirements

I went to Japan for the first time earlier this year, and I loved it. So I'm planning my next trip and want to apply for a multiple entry visa. So my question is, I don't have much in a brick and mortar bank, most of my savings are in Betterment high yield saving and something like it. Has anyone applied for a multiple-entry visa using similar savings documents? I haven't been able to find much information on this process. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
