  • Question about immigration process for person of interest

Good morning, all. I am interested in having someone move in with me from South America (more like a family friend) but I would definately marry her if it expedited the process. I am trying to find out, for the I-130 form, do we need to already be married before she applies for a marriage Visa (lives outside US) or does the Visa come first https://100001.onl/https://1921681254.mx/ ? Thank you all for any advice!

If you and your friend are not married yet, but you plan to marry soon, you may be eligible for a K-1 fiancé(e) visa. This visa allows your fiancé(e) to enter the United States temporarily to marry you.
