Wife and I have visited Japan numerous times without a visa because of the 90-day exemption. However, it is our dream to do a long stay in Japan of around 1 year. We are not looking to work or study there, only sightseeing. When I look at the visa options, the only one that offers something like this is the "Longer stays for the wealthy" visa.
