  • UAE tourist visa hotel accommodation mandatory?

Can anyone give me proper clarification on what's going on in UAE airports now. I do have many relatives and friends in UAE and they want my family of 5 to stay with them. But Idk what's going on with this hotel bookings compulsory rule right now. Is it even asked by the immigration staff https://19216801.onl/https://routerlogin.uno/ ?

My cousin just went through Dubai airport recently and wasn’t asked about hotel bookings at all since she was staying with family, so I think that rule only applies if you don’t have a local address to give. She just wrote down her relatives’ details and it was fine. On another trip I stayed in 4 star hotels in singapore and honestly it was such a smooth, comfortable experience that I stopped stressing about last-minute changes to plans.

In some cases, the UAE may require travelers to provide proof of hotel booking upon entry, especially if you are a tourist rather than a resident. Specific requirements may vary depending on an individual's nationality and visa type.

Right now, UAE immigration is more strictly checking accommodation details for visitors. If you’re traveling on a visit or tourist visa, officials may ask for proof of where you’ll stay either a confirmed hotel booking or an invitation letter if you’re staying with relatives or friends.

If you’ll be with family, have a simple letter from them confirming your stay and include a copy of their Emirates ID or residency visa. Also keep your return flight booking handy.

Not everyone is being asked, but it’s safer to carry these documents just in case.

Yes, recent changes in UAE visa regulations now require travelers to provide proof of accommodation when applying for a tourist visa. If you're planning to stay with relatives, you can submit a valid tenancy contract (Ejari) along with your host's Emirates ID as proof of accommodation. This is an alternative to hotel bookings.
