  • DS 160 regarding presence in the social media

I filled the ds 160 for my mother two times as the first one got outdated due to waiting more than an year.
Now, in the social media presence section, in the first version filled in 11/23, we responded yes.
However, in the recent one filled yesterday I put ‘NO’ as her account was closed in 2018 (i.e., 5 years back).
But as these two forms contradict, at what extent this will make the visa rejection or any negative consequences https://19216801.onl/https://routerlogin.uno/?

Is there an way we can correct the DS 160 with this information? Or should I keep as it is?

I just listed the social media I still have access to and use. For older accounts I deleted or can't log into anymore, I didn’t mention them and had no issues.

I just mentioned my real handles and didn't include any inactive or **** ones. If your TikTok is public and you used it recently—even just to buy 1000 tiktok followersor post stuff—I'd include it. But don’t list accounts you never post on or use. They just care about accounts you've used in the past five years and still have access to.

Minor inconsistencies between DS-160 forms, like the social media presence question, generally do not automatically cause visa denial. Since the account was closed in 2018, it’s understandable that the answers differ. Even for applicants who experience extreme introversion, you cannot edit a submitted DS-160, but you can complete a new form and bring both confirmation pages to the interview. During the interview, honestly explain the discrepancy and clarify that the account was closed years ago. Being transparent with the consular officer should prevent any negative consequences.
