  • I started thinking about a second citizenship

I started thinking about a second citizenship after my trip to a conference in London last year went up in smoke. They simply didn't have time to process the visa, and not because I did anything wrong — it was just "a big workload for the visa center," as they explained to me. It wasn't the first time, but it was the most offensive. Since then, I've started looking at how people get around all this red tape. And yes, it turns out that there are schemes that allow you to get a full passport without getting into debt or spending millions. I was interested in the dominica passport — everything looks simpler and less stuffy than in other countries. And most importantly, you don't have to live there, take tests, or wait for years. Osher Advisors was recommended to me in a chat for digital nomads, they seem like normal guys. Has anyone actually worked with them?

You're looking into Dominica citizenship after a frustrating visa experience. It offers a simpler path to a second passport without residency, tests, or long waits, through either a donation (starting at $200,000) or real estate investment (minimum $200,000 plus fees). Benefits include visa-free travel, no residency requirements, and potential tax advantages. You mentioned Osher Advisors; while they seem like a legitimate firm for this, it's wise to do thorough research, check their credentials, and compare them with other authorized agents to ensure a smooth process.

I can totally relate to your frustration. Visa delays have caused me to miss important business opportunities too. Looking into second citizenship options is becoming more common for professionals and digital nomads.

Dominica passport programs do seem to be one of the more straightforward ones, especially compared to others like Malta or Cyprus. I haven't worked with Osher Advisors personally, but I’ve heard of a few firms that assist with CBI (Citizenship by Investment) — the key is making sure they’re officially authorized by the Dominica government. You can check the official government site for that list.

For anyone in business or consulting, a second passport can also help a lot with travel flexibility and reducing visa headaches. I’m in the M&A space myself (Peterson Acquisitions), and fast access to travel sometimes makes a real difference in deal timelines.

Also, for those exploring U.S. opportunities, working with a trusted business broker Phoenix can open doors — especially for anyone interested in investment-based residency routes or acquiring a business.

Would love to hear if anyone else here has direct experience with Osher.

Thanks for sharing your experience — you’re definitely not alone. Visa processing delays can be incredibly frustrating, especially when they disrupt work or academic plans. A lot of people in the digital nomad and location-flexible communities have turned to second citizenships for that exact reason.

Dominica is indeed one of the more accessible and streamlined options under its Citizenship by Investment (CBI) program. It’s relatively affordable compared to others like Malta or St. Kitts, and yes — no residency, language tests, or long wait periods. Plus, the passport offers visa-free access to a solid number of countries including the UK and EU Schengen zone, which helps for travel flexibility.

As for Osher Advisors, I’ve heard the name mentioned in a few expat and nomad chats too, but I’d recommend doing a bit more due diligence before committing:
Check whether they’re listed as an authorized agent by the Dominica Citizenship by Investment Unit (CBIU)
Ask for references from people who’ve completed the process
Look out for clear, upfront pricing and contracts — CBI can be legitimate, but it’s also a space with some bad actors
If anyone else here has firsthand experience with them, I’d love to hear it too. Good luck on your journey — second citizenship can be a game changer when done right.
