Japan Evisa - Do I scan the QR code or not?

Hi! I just received my eVisa, and the status says: "Issued / Visa issuance notice downloaded" — and it's marked Free of Charge.

At the bottom of the notice, it says: "Scan your own QR code below and follow instructions on the screen."

Has anyone done this part already? What should I expect after scanning the QR code? Or should I not scan it?

Congratulations on your eVisa! The "Scan your own QR code" instruction is not for you to scan now, but for when you arrive at immigration in your destination country. You'll scan it at a kiosk there, which will likely print a slip for the immigration officer, who will then finalize your entry. Just keep your eVisa safe for your trip.
