I don’t know if I’m writing to the write forum or site, I’m just waiting to find someone who can help me with ideas or whatever. I’ve been writing with an US citizen for about 5 years. For different reasons he has not could travel to the country where I live (South America) and I’ve not could get a visa for going there (denied it 3 times). Marriage is not an option. I’m not so young (45) nor he (57), I’ve been so glad talking with him (by mail and by phone) all these years that I think is enough time for us to meet us in person. Why is it so hard to get a visa? although I could prove at the consulate that I had the money to travel, they denied me the visa. I’m not a rich person; it’s truth but is that a crime? Is it so hard to believe that a person can work hard and save the enough money to travel? I’m not a killer, nor a thief, nor a terrorist nor a swindler or something like that, then why do I have to be considered like a non pleasant person? How can people of the consulate decide in 5 minutes (the time they decide to deny me the visa) which are the intentions of a person? Have they taken a course of how to guess the mind? I’ve been having this feeling lately like if it’s not much time that I have in this life that I wish to meet him and who knows maybe we could spend this little time together. If there is someone there that has or has had the same case I will appreciate her/his help. really thanks

All I can say is that consular officer is required by law to assume that every person applying for visitor visa will want to stay in US permanently, unless he/she proves otherwise.
You have to prove strong ties to your home country and convince the officer that you will return. Look at https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/visitor and read everything carefully to get more ideas.Immihelp Support
