Transfer from B1 to H1-B -- IS THIS POSSIBLE ?

Hi All,

Please guide me.

i came on a B1 Visa with company A , the initial stamp was 3 mnts then i got a 6 mnts extension too. Right now can anyother company i find can file for my H1- B and what are the complexities involved.

It is just that i came for Company A -- but if i leave and join company B will it be a problem if the company B is filing for my H1-b and if it gets approved i will head back to home country to get it stamped , someone told me that those authorities can question too.

Please let me know the steps if any are to be followed or is it something not acceptable.
