Traveling to US after visiting Cuba with an oder passport

Hi all,

I have a situation regarding my planned upcoming travels to the US.

I am a German citizen and travelled to Cuba in 2023. Back then, I got my passport stamped upon arrival. My passport expired in 2024 and I got it renewed, meaning my current passport has no obvious signs of visiting Cuba. If I now want to travel to the US, can I just apply for an ESTA or do I have to apply for a visitors visa? I know that if you marvelled to Cuba after 2021 they say you need a visa, but I haven't found any clear information regarding a change of passport.

You are not eligible for the Visa Waiver Program if you have been in Cuba after 2021. It doesn't matter what passport you use. You need to apply for a visitor visa.
