  • Visa issues with an indian passport traveling to south america

I have a valid US visa (tourist) and plan to visit Argentina, Peru, Chile and Guatemala. I’ve heard the US visa assures a visa on arrival but a friend of mine mentioned someone he knows ran into some visa trouble.

Is this misguided as most people here on reddit search has mentioned how these countries are visa on arrival with a US visa for an indian passport holder

You can enter Peru and Guatemala without getting another visa. For Argentina you need to apply online for an ETA, but it’s quick since you hold a US visa. Chile does not accept the US visa for entry, so you still need to get a visa from them before traveling.

      Hi,
Indian passport with US visa will help you to reach Peru and Guatemala. But for Chille and Argentina, you will need proper visa to enter into the respective countries.
      Thanks
